Lorensbergsteatern is a theater building in Gothenburg

Lorensbergsteatern is a theater building in Gothenburg. When the theater was ready in 1916, it was considered to be Europe’s most modern, with seats for 1,000 people and, among other things, a revolving stage and round horizon. The first premiere, with 800 guests, took place in 1916. In 1934, the Lorensbergsteatern was converted into a cinema, the cinema was closed on September 1987 and the premises were once again used as a theatre.
